Torso was such a fun piece to recreate in an outfit. I loved working with the thin black likes & the fantastic colors. I don’t think the dress could have been anymore perfect & the black ring captures the focal point, the black circle, well. The square, yellow purse completes the whole look, in my opinion.

This Mondarian dress by Llum is so cute. Sorry, ladies, it’s only made for little girls. It’s available from Lollie for $55. Go buy it for your daughter, niece, or any other little girl who isn’t afraid to stand out.

This outfit was probably the fastest one I’ve ever made. It really just fell together as soon as I found the dress. I stumbled upon it & instantly thought of Kline. I love the gray accessories & the jewelry couldn’t match better.

I just love this outfit & the artwork that inspired it. It’s feminine, simple & would be so fun to wear. The top was the first piece I found & it’s a perfect match. It even has a butterfly that’s hidden quite like the one in the painting. The brown shorts match the table the flowers are on & the green shoes are an obvious choice to go with the leaves & stems. There’s nothing more fun than wearing shorts & flats though. Let’s be honest. The accessories were so much fun to play with. I chose the ring & butterfly earrings to add a little flash & the purse to go with the giant peony in the front.

This is one of the first outfits that I created, but it’s still one of my favorites. I think the dress goes so well with the painting because of both the color & the calm feeling they both seem to have. I love teal & orange together, especially with that pink. My favorite part is the earrings & the connection they have to the leaves in the art.

This outfit is BRIGHT. There’s no way around it. Wouldn’t it be perfect for a tropical vacation or a day trip to the beach? I chose the orange & blue because they’re the main colors in the painting, but I didn’t stop there. I added the bracelet, which also brings the light purple into the outfit. I decided to use gold accessories. The necklace matches the trees in the piece & the gold sandals bring more gold into the outfit & match the necklace. This outfit isn’t for you unless you’re ready to stand out in the crowd, but if you’ve accepted that fact, go for it!

This piece has so many colors & things going on in it that it was hard to find a place to start. I decided to focus on green & leaves, so this dress was a perfect fit. I also couldn’t be more happy with the way the shoes, earrings & bracelet go together. The blue purse really completes the connection to the painting for me though. I really wanted something to connect to the flowers & it did just the trick.

Kiki Smith is one of my favorite working artists. This piece was especially fun to work with. The first piece I found was easy to pick- the wolf ring! Next, I chose the blue skirt & coral top to go with the figure’s outfit. The top is flowy & reminds me of the cape. I love the way those two pieces go together. The shoes are grey to go with the color of the wolf. They also have tassles that remind me of the tie on the cape. They’re beautiful, too. The purse not only matches the grey, but is a basketweave style. It looks like the basket in the hands of the figure. What a perfect match! Lastly, I added the blue earrings. They match the skirt & add that little extra something special. This outfit is work appropriate & feminine. I just love it.

I love the colors that are in this painting. They’re so beautiful, so I wanted to make an outfit that would do them justice. The dress is a perfect fit & I love all of the blues with it. I think the blue earrings connect to the sky very well & the purse reminds me of the brush strokes in the trees. I would love to wear this outfit! Wouldn’t you?

When I found this dress I was so happy. It goes with all of the colors in the nude so well, besides being a beautiful dress, in general. The calla lilly necklace & leave earrings go really well with this painting, for obvious reasons. I think my favorite part may be the shoes though because their resemblance to the basket is more subtle.
