It’s bright & just too much fun. I found the black, lace skirt first. It goes with the figure on the right’s top & the orange top reminds me of the shirt she’s wearing underneath. This piece was especially fun to work with. The first piece I found was easy to pick- the wolf ring! Next, I chose the blue skirt & coral top to go with the figure’s outfit. The top is flowy & reminds me of the cape. I love the way those two pieces go together. The shoes are grey to go with the color of the wolf. They also have tassles that remind me of the tie on the cape. They’re beautiful, too. The purse not only matches the grey, but is a basketweave style. It looks like the basket in the hands of the figure. What a perfect match! Lastly, I added the blue earrings. They match the skirt & add that little extra something special. In this outfit, it’s not only socially acceptable, but stylish! The artwork has the most amazing colors & textures. I wanted to do this justice. The brocade dress was just the beginning. I layered it under a navy cardigan. It not only makes it more modern, but brings out the dark background. I wanted to include the purple necklace the figure is wearing. I love this one that I found so much that I included periwinkle pumps, too. These colors look fantastic together, but I doubt I ever would have combined them had I not been inspired by this painting. The navy purse has a great texture since it’s made out of silk. It looks great with the dress. Lastly, I included the earrings that have a similar look at the jewel on her head.
